Behaviour Support: Self-Esteem & Feelings Workbook Mini Learners

(0)
Many today suffer with a damaged sense of self. Some individuals have such profound self-esteem deficits that they have internalized the belief that they are bad and that their future is hopeless. The goal of enhancing self-esteem for these students is not an easy one, but it is an important component of any successful treatment program. This workbook has been developed to help students to develop the tools to help individuals focus on their strengths and abilities, promote feelings of self-worth, encourage a more optimistic attitude and install a hope for their future. This 38 page workbook addresses important issues that are relevant in relation to increasing self-esteem, understanding feelings, bullying and anger management. This workbook is designed so that the child has an opportunity to reflect on who they are, including to gain further insights into self-esteem, feelings, bullying and anger management. Some activities are also whole-class activities to encourage self-esteem and empowerment, encouraging all children to isolate and express the things that they like and admire in the others in a very fun way.

Behaviour Support: Supporting better Choices and Decision Making

(0)
Behaviour Support: Supporting better Choices and Decision Making All children requires support to make better decisions. Sometimes we struggle understanding why children make a decision, however we need to remember that the response a child makes (including behavioural) is their ONLY choice (or best choice) in that situation. For a child, if falling on the ground and refusing to do work is easier than articulating that “I’m not coping” or “I don’t feel okay inside” then falling on the ground seems like an easier and logical decision for the child. This one page document discusses the choices children make and how we can reinforce good choices for the child. This following resource can be used for children with special needs/ ADD/ ADHD/ intellectual disability and or individuals with unique communication requirements.
